Research Outline
The Institute aims to conduct research on interdisciplinary communication that contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of civil society and research on incubation of social enterprises. To this end, the Institute will carry out project-oriented research in cooperation with the SDGs established by the United Nations, setting goals such as reducing poverty, disparities, and discrimination in developing countries, improving public health and educational opportunities, supporting agricultural production and rural management, and promoting regional development and ethical consumption in the country.
For the purpose of this interdisciplinary research, the Institute aims to bring together human resources from the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities, not only from within the university but also from outside the university, discuss specific issues from the perspective of interdisciplinary integration of theory and practice, and not only publish the results in academic papers and press articles, but also implement them in society.

研究概要
市民社会の持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）に寄与する学際的コミュニケーションの研究、及び社会的事業のインキュベーションに関する研究を実施することを目的とする。このため、この研究所では国連が定めるSDGｓに協調し、発展途上国の貧困・格差・差別の是正、公衆衛生や教育機会の向上、農業生産と農村経営に関する支援や、国内の地域振興とエシカル消費の推進等の目標を設定し、期限付きで成果を求めるプロジェクト指向の研究を実施する。
この学際的な研究目的のため、ある特定の課題について自然科学、社会科学、そして人文科学の各分野からの人材を学内のみならず学外から広く集い、学際かつ理論と実践の融合の視座から議論を進め、その成果を学術論文や報道言論記事として公表するにとどまらず、社会実装することを達成目標とする。
